What is Elder Home Care?

Elderly care is the fulfillment of the needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. It encompasses services at home, wherever home is, to help with day-to-day activities. PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL TEAM

When and for how long are services available?

Services are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Life doesn’t always happen between the hours of 9am to 5pm. For this reason, we offer care services for as little as a few hours per visit to up to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Services can be short term or long term all depending on your needs.

Elder Care Victoria BC

How is my caregiver chosen for me?

During the initial conversation and the in-home visit, the Community Care Director will document the services required and clearly get an idea of your needs and sensitivities. Then, we select the best caregiver fit for the client. We strive to ensure that everyone agrees and understands what services are to be provided. We assist seniors and their families with important decisions through life’s transitions, and carefully match our caregivers to their personality, specific needs and interests. All our services are one-on-one with the caregiver and client and we keep the same team in place always.

Senior Care

Will my loved one have the same caregiver all the time?

Yes, that is what we pride ourselves in, one-on-one care, building relationships and creating a lovely friendship between the caregiver and the client.

OLDER ADULTS

Do you provide services in care facilities?

Yes, we do. We are there from the beginning to the end and every step of the way. Regardless of where you live. Our services allow seniors to remain independent in their own environment for as long as possible, as we provide qualified compassionate caregivers and personalized service designed for the needs of each one of our clients.

What are the signs that my loved one or myself might need care?

If you or your loved one refuses assistance or they are making decisions that could jeopardize their safety or overall well-being could definitely be one of the signs. Other signs to look out for are: are they keeping up with their hygiene? Are they eating meals regularly, 3 times a day? Are they taking their medications on time and on a regular schedule throughout the day? Are they constantly falling down? Are they scared to be left alone? Do they forget what day and time it is? These are some of the warning signs you want to look out for and then call for some help.
